Deluxe Yilmaz Signed Tiger Stem Meerschaum Pipe – This classic-style meerschaum pipe is hand-carved by famed Turkish carver Yilmaz. It has a polished, smooth finish, and since it is an older pipe in our collection, it is starting to color naturally with a hint of golden yellow. The smooth shank sweeps upward in an Oom Paul fashion, where it connects to a near-perfect tiger stem. Yilmaz signed the pipe in his beautiful script on the underside of the shank. A modest-looking signed pipe that is a special addition to a collection and an every-day meerschaum smoking pipe.This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as it is smoked.
