The wide flowing beard serves as a platform so that the pipe can sit and not topple over, a convenient feature to keep the tobacco from spilling out when you want to rest the pipe in between puffs. The pipe has a scrolled designer stem that is a light amber color.This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same.
